This female combat veteran from the 4th Infantry Division, deployed in Iraq in 2003 and again in late 2005-6, sits “pulling security” inside the hatch of a Humm-V. Equipped with gloves, body armor, ballistic eye protection, and night vision goggles on her Kevlar helmet, she grips an M240 Machine Gun.
