DECK CHECK - 26" H x 20" W. Hummingbirds are curious little things. They will come to almost any brightly colored object to see what it is, and if it contains nectar. Orchids don't have much nectar, but most do have very brightly colored flowers or portions of their flowers which help direct insects to pollen sources for fertilization. This phalaenopsis orchid is also in a very brightly colored pot, and was sitting out on my deck. A little hummer is checking it out.
